Our Music Department enriches worship experiences with uplifting melodies and harmonies to draw our hearts closer to God.

"Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord."

Psalm 150: 3-6

We are told to praise God 250 times throughout the Bible. Magnifying God’s holy and righteous name through praise and song is not only an important Christian tradition, it is a recurring scriptural command. Through music ministry, we engage and position ourselves into a place of deep worship, and it is often there that we find God.

At Colonial Beach Baptist Church, our Music Department plays a vital role in enhancing our worship services and fostering a sense of community through the power of music. Whether you're a seasoned musician or someone with a passion for making a joyful noise, there's a place for you in our diverse and welcoming musical family.

Variety in Every Service

Our services feature a balance of different musical styles, including contemporary praise music, soulful piano and instrumental solos, cherished hymns, choral performances, and pieces from various genres and historical periods. We are endlessly grateful that God has blessed our sanctuary with a beautiful baby grand piano, whose rich tones add a touch of elegance and depth to every musical moment.

Upcoming Events

Colonial Beach Baptist Church offers special seasonal music offerings, including the Christmas and Easter cantatas. We also regularly host outside groups, such as Soundwaves Chorale, Colonial Beach's community choral ensemble, for special performances throughout the year.
