Benjamin Swanson

Ben Swanson is a passionate music educator, vocalist, and director dedicated to fostering a welcoming and uplifting musical environment. As the Director of Music at Colonial Beach Baptist Church, Ben leads our congregation in worship through the power of music.

Beyond his role at the church, Ben serves as the Artistic Director of Soundwaves Chorale, where he works to inspire singers of all levels. He also teaches chorus at Westmoreland High School.

Ben holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Theatre Performance and Music Education from James Madison University. He has performed with renowned ensembles like Tenebrae and The King's Singers and even joined Grammy-nominated artist Josh Groban on stage during his 2015 North American Tour.
